Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website internality.org (the "Site"), operated by Internality, a Michigan nonprofit corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code ("Internality," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Site immediately.
1. Organizational Purpose
Internality is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, with a particular focus on informing, educating, and engaging business leaders on how to manage business enterprises in ways that maximize positive social and environmental impacts while eliminating negative externalities. All programs, content, and services offered through the Site are provided in furtherance of this mission.
2. Eligibility
The Site is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to: use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation; use the Site to transmit any material that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, its servers, or any systems or networks connected to the Site; use any automated means (including bots, scrapers, or spiders) to access, monitor, or collect data from the Site without our prior written consent; or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, data compilations, frameworks, methodologies, software, and other materials — is the property of Internality or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Site without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
The Internality name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Internality. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
5. Programs, Memberships, and Events
Internality may offer programs, memberships, workshops, Forums, Pivot Labs, and other events through the Site. Participation in these offerings may be subject to additional terms, eligibility requirements, fees, and application processes, which will be communicated at the time of registration or enrollment. Internality reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any program or event at any time.
If fees are associated with any program or service, payment terms will be disclosed prior to enrollment. All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
6. User Submissions
If you submit content to Internality through the Site — including feedback, ideas, suggestions, comments, or other materials — you grant Internality a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such content in connection with our mission and operations. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Confidentiality of Program Participation
Certain Internality programs involve the sharing of proprietary business information among participants. By participating, you agree to treat all information shared by other participants as confidential and not to disclose, reproduce, or use such information outside the program without the express written consent of the disclosing party. Specific confidentiality obligations may be set forth in separate program agreements.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERNALITY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Internality does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or investment advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL INTERNALITY, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SITE, ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE, OR ANY PROGRAMS OR SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF INTERNALITY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
In no event shall Internality's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Internality and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, or services that are not owned or controlled by Internality. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. You access third-party sites at your own risk.
12. Modifications to the Site and Terms
Internality reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site (or any portion thereof) at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Waiver
The failure of Internality to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by Internality.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific programs or services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Internality regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
